EHS Advisor - Germany

Location: Magdeburg area, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany | On-site. Our client is seeking a Project EHS Advisor to support safe operations at an advanced engineering and manufacturing facility. You will work with production, engineering and trade teams to maintain high EHS standards as specialist systems are prepared for projects across Europe. The exact site location will be shared with suitable applicants. 

Key responsibilities

• Help teams plan work safely and meet health, safety and environmental requirements.

• Maintain project EHS plans, records and reporting systems.

• Deliver site inductions and relevant training; check that required competencies are in place.

• Carry out risk-based inspections and audits, track findings and support improvements.

• Assist with incident investigations and communicate professionally with clients and regulatory authorities.

• Support contractor and supply chain onboarding, facility welfare and wellbeing activities.

• Keep the EHS Lead informed of emerging risks, performance trends and any gaps in site coverage.

Requirements

• More than three years’ experience in construction and more than three years in an EHS role.

• Strong communication, organisation, time management and IT skills.

• A relevant professional qualification and training in auditing, first aid, mental health first aid, SVSM, train the trainer, manual handling instruction and fall arrest inspection.

• Current authorisation to work in Germany is required.
