Welding Supervisor

Scope of Role

  • Responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all project welding activities
  • Ensure weld quality, traceability, and documentation meet project, code, and GMP requirements
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership to welding teams and act as key interface with Construction, QA/QC, and Client

 Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Ensure welding is carried out in accordance with approved WPS and ASME / ISO codes
  • Verify welder qualifications and manage daily work allocation and productivity
  • Supervise welding teams, providing training, mentorship, and performance oversight
  • Resolve welding‑related technical or operational issues
  • Drive continuous improvement in weld quality, efficiency, and right‑first‑time delivery
  • Assess welder productivity and quality during probation periods

 Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection methods (ASME / ISO)
  • Understanding of weld traceability, QA/QC documentation, and NDT coordination
  • Excellent communication and coordination with welders, QA/QC, and client teams
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving capability

 Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 3 years’ welding inspection / supervision experience
  • CSWIP 3.2 qualification
  • Pharmaceutical or regulated project experience
  • Knowledge of NDT methods (RT, UT, MPI, DPI, Borescope)
  • Ability to read and interpret codes, drawings, and specifications
  • Good IT and reporting skills 

  Location - Belgium

  Contract Duration - 18 Months
